PART-TIME YOUTH HOCKEY DIRECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION
The Youth Hockey Director is responsible for overseeing all coaches within the organization’s
mission and strategic plan; priorities include player development. Key duties include program
development, management/administration of all coaches and 200 youth players and their
families. The position reports directly to the Executive Director (ED). Salary range $15,000 -
$25,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
Preferred experience
Played hockey at a competitive high school level or higher .
Coached hockey at a competitive level.
Passion for hockey and developing hockey for all ages throughout the Gunnison Valley.
Experience in coordinating a youth non-profit organization is a plus.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Oversee preseason and in-season hockey daily operations & development.
? Organize and oversee summer preseason skate sessions.
? Designing an in-season practice progression for all age levels.
? Oversee coaching development for all teams.
? Provide resources and advice to coaches on practice plans, skill progression.
? Consult with conflict/resolution meetings with parents/coaches/players.
